Scissors edges vary, Convex, Bevelled, Serrated etc. A high percentage of premium hairdressing scissors are manufactured with razor sharp, hardly visible convex edges. It is vital that these edges are maintained when they are sharpened. We use professional equipment and are trained to the highest standard to sharpen your scissors and maintain these convex edges. Maintaining the blades original design means you can continue to use them to carry out slice, slide and chipping techniques with ease.
Serrated scissors or micro serrated scissors have one of their blades featuring serrations. These grip the hair and allow a straight cut with no hair slipping through the blades. It is important to keep these serrations when scissors are sharpened and we have the equipment to preserve these edges as they were designed to be by the manufacturer.
Whether right or left handed, our water cooled equipment enables us to carry out sharpening removing a minimal amount of metal to maximise the life of your scissors and without overheating the blades which is also very important. All scissors are fully dismantled to allow the whole blade to be cleaned and sharpened to a mirror finish (where applicable). We won’t rush any job as our reputation is as important to us as your equipment is to you.
